I'm inspired by colour, art & travel. I am a wanderer at heart and have studied, lived & worked in Italy, Hong Kong, Malaysia & Australia. It was in Australia that I found my true passion for photography and was fortunate enough to work with and learn from some of the leading names in editorial & advertising photography such as Martin Misckhkulnig, Petrina Tinslay, Adrian Brown, and Christian Mushenko.
In my personal work my main preoccupation is with capturing a feeling, the essence of something, be it a person, a place or a thing. Drawing on the influence of abstraction and abstract expressionism , the sharpness and details of form are less emphasised and the focus in on the experience, feelings and emotions, not rational analysis of detail. My aim is to capture and record the soul of a being, something that will tell a story and will remain long after that which is photographed is gone.
I graduated from the National College of Art & Design (NCAD) in Dublin in 2009 with a first class honours in Photography and Digital Imaging. I live by the sea in the beautiful seaside town of Sandycove in South County Dublin with my husband and young son.
If you would like to hear more about my work or would like to enquire about working with me I would love to hear from you!
